Academy of Fashion & Textile Technology (AFTT) is a pioneer in the field of fashion by training professionals to meet the need of various sectors of the apparel industry. AFTT is an integrated college of design, management and technology. We offer ten diploma/certificate programs. The ethos of the academy is devoted to providing high-quality education for its student. We aim to provide trained designers every year. The rapidly expanding export and domestic market for readymade garments have created a demand for professionally trained manpower. In this context, we conduct training programs for assisting the apparel industry in India to be globally competitive. The concept of designing paves the way to exciting and interesting avenues in the interior and fashion industry. There is a need for designers with sound knowledge, technical skills and practical expertise. Hence, we believe “designers are not born but created”. We have estimated that, currently, the industry employs around 2,00,000 professionals and has a demand for 55,000 additional professionals each year. Industry analysts also say that even if the current manpower pool increases, they can be absorbed.
