I must begin this editorial with some sad news: our dear colleague Devaraj passed away yesterday following a long and courageous battle with illness. All at the Alliance join me in extending our heartfelt condolences to his family and in assuring them of our support during this difficult period. Devaraj will be missed by all. In the month of October, I would like to invite you to the “P’tit Cine-Concert” by the Philharmonique de la Roquette, a concert where three musicians will provide live accompaniment to 11 short films ranging from the burlesque to the poetic and the emotional. The films include “Nicolas et Guillemette”, “Tim Tom”, “Bave Circus”, “Goodbye Canine”, and “Oktapodi”. In addition, the musicians have also teamed up with the directors Oliver Durand and Nicolas Pillard to create two entirely original films: “Bob le Mouton” and “Le Chef d’Orchestre”. The evening promises to be a wonderful experience for children and adults alike.
