LUKSTUDIO is a multi-disciplinary design practice founded by Christina Luk in 2011. We believe that good design happens naturally when happy, healthy and creative individuals come together to challenge the status quo of our environment. The difficulty, in fact, is to keep the team physically and mentally healthy from the long working hours. The solutions are three-fold: home-cooked lunch twice a week, a mandate for free weekends, and an annual office trip. Based in Shanghai, a metropolitan where east meets west, tradition welcomes innovation, Lukstudio has been exposed to the “everything is possible” attitude and turned each project into memorable spatial experiences. The team has demonstrated its strength in integrating artistic components into commercial projects, yet its ultimate joy comes from exploring ways to engage and surprise. May it be a dining room under shiny “ noodles”, a patisserie that opens up like a gift box or a tree hidden in an office, every project has its potentials to be special. Lukstudio is happy to identify each narrative, preserve it from concept through construction, and share it with others.
